RJA #3c: Research Question

Do the benefits of genetically modified food stuffs outweigh the inherent risks associated with the modifications?

Are the way organisms genetically modified increase or decrease the negative risks?

Should companies or individuals be allowed to patent genetic modifications?

Are governments doing enough to mitigate the known and unknown risks of GMOs?

  1. I think this is a very good question as you will be outlining the benefits and risks and then taking a stand as to which is a stronger case.

    Do you intend to focus on a particular food grou[p or a specific crop? Also, will you be looking at all associated risks and benefits from the famers, producers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers point of view or focusing one one group (such as the consumer)?

  3. I think you should have a few more questions, becasue it will help you with the depth and detail of your paper in the long run. But very interesting topic!
